ADHD Evaluation and Treatment — Children, Adolescents, and Adults

ADHD is one of the most commonly diagnosed — and most commonly misdiagnosed — psychiatric conditions. Getting it right matters. We conduct thorough evaluations that go beyond a symptom checklist to understand the full clinical picture before reaching any diagnosis or treatment decision.

We evaluate and treat ADHD in:

  • Children (typically age 5 and older)

  • Adolescents

  • Adults, including those never diagnosed in childhood

What our evaluation includes:

  • Detailed clinical interview covering developmental, academic, occupational, and family history

  • Review of prior records, report cards, prior testing, and outside provider notes when available

  • Standardized rating scales completed by the patient and, where appropriate, parents or teachers

  • Differential diagnosis — ruling out anxiety, mood disorders, sleep disorders, and other conditions that can mimic ADHD

Treatment options:

  • Stimulant medications (when clinically appropriate)

  • Non-stimulant medications

  • Behavioral strategies and psychoeducation

  • Coordination with therapists, tutors, and school teams

Note on stimulant prescribing: Federal law requires an in-person evaluation before stimulant medications can be prescribed. Telehealth-only ADHD treatment is no longer permitted under current DEA regulations. We comply fully with these requirements.
