ADHD Evaluation and Treatment — Children, Adolescents, and Adults
ADHD is one of the most commonly diagnosed — and most commonly misdiagnosed — psychiatric conditions. Getting it right matters. We conduct thorough evaluations that go beyond a symptom checklist to understand the full clinical picture before reaching any diagnosis or treatment decision.
We evaluate and treat ADHD in:
Children (typically age 5 and older)
Adolescents
Adults, including those never diagnosed in childhood
What our evaluation includes:
Detailed clinical interview covering developmental, academic, occupational, and family history
Review of prior records, report cards, prior testing, and outside provider notes when available
Standardized rating scales completed by the patient and, where appropriate, parents or teachers
Differential diagnosis — ruling out anxiety, mood disorders, sleep disorders, and other conditions that can mimic ADHD
Treatment options:
Stimulant medications (when clinically appropriate)
Non-stimulant medications
Behavioral strategies and psychoeducation
Coordination with therapists, tutors, and school teams
Note on stimulant prescribing: Federal law requires an in-person evaluation before stimulant medications can be prescribed. Telehealth-only ADHD treatment is no longer permitted under current DEA regulations. We comply fully with these requirements.
